This is just a small group number we are doing in Noteworthy this year. I think it's really cute so i thought i'd share it with you all. It's not the greatest recording, but ya! here is the link!

It's Halloween time! We dressed up for our ward trunk-or-treat party. Dallin was the big hit with his transformer costume. He was transforming for everone all night! Kent was the mastermind behind it. Rebekah was a pirate, Eliza was Violet from Charly and the chocolate factory (after she eats the forbidden gum) and Jake was a lego. Hope you all have a happy halloween and post your costumes after!

Had SO much fun at the fair the other day. Kids were free and so was the Huey Lewis concert. I was screamin and dancing and so they zoomed on me for the big screen! He sang all the good songs, "Power of Love" "Happy to be stuck with you , etc" The kids had a blast! Rachel came with us Although she didn't know who Huey Lewis was. (are we THAT old?).

Baby Name...Finally...and winner announced!

OK, so we took forever, and we have told many of you, but we finally decided on a name for our little boy! After much deliberation we have decided to name him



Thanks for all of your suggestions! As we didn't choose a name from the suggestions that you gave us (though you did suggest some great ones) I did a random drawing of the family who suggested names for us and our winner is .....REBEKAH!! Yeah! Thanks Rebekah, I will send you a prize soon!!

20th Anniversary of Strauss

Another Strauss Festival has come and gone 20 years -- hard to believe. Our family is so grateful that Diane said "yes" she would help that very first year.

Yes, it is true -- Courtney is now a sample lady at Costco. Isn't the hairnet to cute? On her first day of work she almost cut her thumb off with a can of chicken. So, today they had her give samples of a sports drink -- kinda hard to get hurt on a plastic container. We had fun visiting her today. I did find out that I am not a fan of sports drinks.

Baby name contest.

We are stuck on a name for our little baby boy. We have 2 names that we like, but we are not sure...they are just the only ones we like so far. So here goes a contest to help us name our little one. Leave a comment on our blog with name suggestions (remember I like the names to be a little different, but not wierd). 4th of July was awesome!!

Happy 4th of July

We just wanted to test this out and see if it is working. Nicole did some amazing face paiting yesterday. That was a fun party by the way. We are excited to see everyone today at the Stapps and to see some great fireworks!

Wow! finally putting on my first blog. Tried to avoid it as long as I could, but I guess it was inevitable. At least I have not text messaged yet!

Getting Excited

We are getting so excited to see everyone next week! We leave on Saturday morning (later in the morning, so Jared can get a little sleep before we head out, since he won't have gotten home until after 4 in the morning), so we should get to my parents house sometime Saturday evening. Joelle has been visiting ahead of us, so we are anxious to see her again. It has been very wierd to have her gone for so long.

We are so excited that we will be able to enjoy the 4th of July with everyone this year! It is always such a fun event, and we really missed it last year!

On the 6th (Friday) we are heading out to a private Ultrasound place to find out what we are having. We were really disappointed that we weren't going to be able to tell everyone what we are having when we were here, so I looked up the pricing for an ultrasound and found a reasonable place to have one done. We are so excited and can't wait to share with you when we know!

Pool fun

Max got a pool for his birthday and the kids have had a blast playing! Here are some photos of the kids having fun playing in the new pool. It is just a little hard plastic one with a slide, but it sure has helped in this summer heat we have been having lately!
